COVID-19 has caused much suffering and sadness, with more that two million lives lost worldwide.

In response to reaching this terrible milestone, including the recent figure of 100,000 COVID-19 deaths in the UK, the Archbishops of Canterbury and York, invite all to call on God in Prayer.

Starting today, February 1st,  we invite you to set aside time every evening to pause and pray particularly at 6pm daily as part of #PrayerForTheNation.

More than ever, this is a time when we need to love each other. Prayer is an expression of love.

Join us as we pray for those impacted by the pandemic.

Why not set an alarm, light a candle or use a light on your mobile phone as a prompt to pray, or you may even hear a church or cathedral bell ring as a reminder.

Follow us on social media for daily prayers, and you can find an easy to use, printable prayer booklet here.

Also, why not explore the Church of England’s website for further resources?

Each number is a person: someone we loved and someone who loved us’
